Privacy policy

Last updated: 15. Juni 2026

Privacy is a genuine priority for Discria — not just on paper. Your learning materials and data live in your Discria account on servers in Germany; AI processing happens in the EU — or, if you choose, fully local on your device. This website uses no cookies, no tracking, and no analytics tools. The following informs you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about the processing of personal data.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The provider automatically processes technical access data (server logs): IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, requested URL, data volume transferred, HTTP status code, operating system and browser of the requesting system (user agent). This data is required to ensure technical operation and for error diagnosis. No evaluation for marketing purposes takes place.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website). Server logs are stored only for a short period and then automatically deleted.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website uses no cookies, no web tracking (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo), no social media pixels, and no other analytics tools. No personal data is processed for advertising or analysis purposes or passed on to third parties.

4. The Discria product

Discria is a cloud application (SaaS). Your learning materials (folders, files, PDFs), the questions generated from them, and your learning results are stored in your Discria account on servers in Germany. They belong to you: you can export or delete them at any time; they are never shared with third parties.

AI processing (default): your questions are generated and adapted by an AI model operated by Consiliari Software GmbH itself; processing takes place in the European Union. Your content is never sent to external AI providers and never used to train the language model — it only feeds your personal learning profile.

Local model option: if you opt for a locally running model (e.g. via Ollama), AI processing takes place on your own device; your content is then not sent to our AI servers.

Optional web research: When you enable the web research feature, Discria sends search queries about your configured topic to external web services. This feature is disabled by default and requires a deliberate choice on your part.

The scope, retention periods, and legal bases of processing within the product (e.g. account data, processors) will be detailed in an extended version of this statement when early access launches.

5. Contact via email

When you send us an email (e.g. to request early access), we process your email address and the content of your message solely to handle your enquiry. The data is not used for marketing purposes, not passed on to third parties, and deleted after the enquiry is concluded, unless a statutory retention obligation applies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

6. External links

This website contains links to external websites (e.g. GitHub). We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these external providers. Clicking on external links takes you away from this website.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights with respect to us as the controller:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR) — right to information about stored data.
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — right to correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — right to erasure (right to be forgotten).
  • Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR) — right to restriction of processing.
  • Portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — right to data portability.
  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR) — right to object to processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the data protection commissioner of the German state in which you reside.
